The Lo Down: Why I Set the Cycle to Real (And Not Perfect)
This isn’t a blog—it’s a practice in leading out loud, low heat first.
Welcome to The Lo Down, where the cycle is always set to real.
This is where I share what I’m learning, unlearning, questioning, and living through—on the mic and in the margins.
Expect podcast episodes, short reflections, care tips, and a few tumble-dried truths. This space isn’t polished. It’s honest. It’s human. It’s Lo.
I’m not going to apologize for all my misspelled words. I’ll try to catch most, fix some, and leave others. Here, in this blog space, I won’t be perfect. Heck, I don’t even ask my clients to be perfect. And I hope they don’t ask that of me either.
What I do hope is that they expect me to strive for excellence—because that’s what Tumble Dry Lo™ is about.
And I hope they understand that working with me won’t just be about results. It will always be about our shared humanity.
From that mission, my purpose is clear: helping individuals, leaders, teams, and organizations grow toward who they want to be—together.
I used to call myself a fixer. Partly because I’m wired to notice gaps, inconsistencies, and misalignments. But I’ve since realized: labeling myself as a “fixer” was also a shield. A survival strategy.
Being “the fixer” made me feel useful. It kept me safe. It gave me a sense of purpose—especially when I was still learning to be purposeful for myself.
And while that mindset has served me in business, it’s also pushed me to the edge of burnout more than once.
So now? I move differently.
I move with care, intention, and investment—up to the point of a mutually agreed upon release.
After all, who really keeps their clothes in the dryer between loads?
(Don’t answer that—I know we all do. Just stay with me while I land this point.)
I’m not a fixer.
I’m a co-conspirator.
I’m a collaborator.
I’m a care-centered practitioner.
I can’t fix what’s broken any more than you can.
But together?
We can make a measurable difference.
That’s what I want you to know, especially if you join our community, work with me or a member of the Tumble Dry Lo team, or even if you download one of our digital products or take one of our trainings.
You’ll get a partner and an advocate. But you’ll also need to show up with clear goals—or at least be willing to work toward them with our help.
Together, we’ll map where you are to where you want to be—with realistic timelines and transparent outcomes.
You’ll understand the services we offer, the value we bring, and the agency you hold.
Because that’s how we grow.
That’s how you know when to exit one part of your journey with us—and step fully into the next.
I want that for you:
Agency. Awareness. Confidence. Worth.
Know your worth. Know your value. Know when you’ve had enough—and when you’re ready for more.
On our end, we’ll keep doing our part.
We’ll continue offering tools, resources, and real care.
We’ll regularly reimagine how to serve you better.
And we’ll never forget: as much as Tumble Dry Lo™ exists to serve, we’re also here to experience the fullness of our own humanity—right alongside you.
The Lo Down is this:
I’m trusting God to walk with me as I pursue my big, hairy, audacious goal of reaching multi-millionaire status.
And I’ll do it the only way I ever would—
With compassion.
With curiosity.
And with care.
For the humans I love.
For the humans I serve.
That includes you.
With Care,
Mo 💓
